Friction Bolt-33-900mm
- -The friction bolt have passed tests in many mines and have been supplied steadily for several years
- -Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.
- -The friction bolt undergoes very stringent tensile testing to ensure product quality.
- -Friction Bolt-33-900mm(Split sets) is roll-formed into a C-shaped bolt with a slot by a high tensile steel band, which one end is tapered for easily inserting the bolt into drilling hole. The other end is welded a ring to hold the bearing plate.
Friction Bolt-33-900mm Functions
Friction bolt is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radial forces on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

How to work
Assess the ground conditions carefully before installation.
Select the appropriate drill bit and create a hole that accommodates the diameter and length of the friction bolt, ensuring the hole is at least 150mm longer than the bolt.
Attach a plate to the friction bolt, positioning the dome against the ring and the tapered end forward.
Install the friction bolts perpendicular to the rock surface for optimal anchorage.
Use a driver dolly to insert the friction bolt into the hole, continuing until the plate securely contacts the rock.
Avoid hammering the friction bolt once the plate is tightly fixed to prevent damage to the bolt's end.
After installation, conduct pull tests to verify the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
