Friction Bolt -39-1200mm
- -Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.
- -Friction Bolt -39-1200mm, made from a strip of high-tensile steel, is roll-formed into a C-shape featuring a longitudinal slot for engagement. Designed with one end tapered to simplify insertion into a drill hole, the opposite end is securely welded to a ring that anchors the bearing plate.
- -Friction Bolt -39-1200mm reference to the AS/NZS1594 / ASTM A1011 standard
- -Provide customers with a pull test for friction bolts after installation.
Friction Bolt -39-1200mm Functions
Friction Bolt -39-1200mm is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radial forces on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

How to work
Before installation, thoroughly assess the ground conditions.
Select the appropriate drill bit and create a hole based on the bolt's diameter, length, and the specified drilling procedure, ensuring the hole extends at least 150mm beyond the friction bolt's length.
Attach a plate to the friction bolt, ensuring the dome is against the ring and the tapered end is forward.
Ensure friction bolts are installed perpendicular to the rock surface for maximum stability.
Insert the driver dolly into the bolt and drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate securely contacts the rock surface.
Avoid striking the friction bolt once the plate is tightly fixed to the rock surface to prevent damaging the end of the bolt.
After installation, conduct pull tests to verify the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
