Friction Bolt -39-1800mm
- -Friction Bolt -39-1800mm reference to the AS/NZS1594 / ASTM A1011 standard.
- -Friction Bolt -39-1800mm undergoes very stringent tensile testing to ensure product quality.
- -Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.
- -The Friction Bolt -39-1800mm, made from a strip of high-tensile steel, is roll-formed into a C-shape featuring a longitudinal slot for engagement. Designed with one end tapered to simplify insertion into a drill hole, the opposite end is securely welded to a ring that anchors the bearing plate.
Friction Bolt -39-1800mm Functions
Friction Bolt -39-1800mm is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radial forces on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

How to work
Before beginning, it's crucial to assess the ground conditions.
Select the appropriate drill bit based on the friction bolt's diameter and length, and drill a hole that conforms to the drilling procedure. Ensure the hole is at least 150mm longer than the friction bolt.
Attach a plate onto the friction bolt, ensuring the dome faces the ring and the tapered end is at the front.
Install the friction bolts so they are perpendicular to the rock surface.
Insert the driver dolly into the bolt and drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate is securely pressed against the rock surface.
Once the plate is tightly fixed to the rock surface, avoid hammering the friction bolt to prevent damage to the bolt's end.
After installation, conduct pull tests to evaluate the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
