Friction Bolt -42-2400mm
- -Friction Bolt -42-2400mm(Split sets) is roll-formed into a C-shaped bolt with a slot by a high tensile steel band, which one end is tapered for easily inserting the bolt into drilling hole. The other end is welded a ring to hold the bearing plate.
- -Friction Bolt -42-2400mm reference to the AS/NZS1594 / ASTM A1011 standard.
- -Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.
Friction Bolt -42-2400mm Functions
Friction Bolt -42-2400mm is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radial forces on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

How to work
Evaluate ground conditions.
Select the appropriate drill bit based on the bolt's diameter and length and the specified drilling method, then drill a hole.
Ensure the hole is at least 150mm deeper than the friction bolt's length.
Attach a plate to the friction bolt, placing the dome against the ring and the tapered end forward.
Install the friction bolts perpendicular to the rock surface.
Insert the driver dolly into the bolt and drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate is securely against the rock surface.
Once the plate is snug against the rock, avoid striking the friction bolt to prevent damage to the bolt's end.
After installation, conduct pull tests to verify the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
