Friction Bolt-47-900mm
- -Friction Bolt-47-900mm undergoes very stringent tensile testing to ensure product quality.
- -The Friction bolt-47-900mm, made from a strip of high-tensile steel, is roll-formed into a C-shape featuring a longitudinal slot for engagement. Designed with one end tapered to simplify insertion into a drill hole, the opposite end is securely welded to a ring that anchors the bearing plate.
- -Provide customers with pull test for Friction Bolt after installation.
- -Friction Bolt-47-900mm have passed tests in many mines and have been supplied steadily for several years
Friction Bolt-47-900mm Functions
Friction Bolt-47-900mm is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radial forces on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

How to work
Assess the ground's characteristics before beginning.
Select an appropriate drill bit and create a hole that matches the friction bolt's diameter and length as per the specified drilling method.
The hole should exceed the friction bolt's length by at least 150mm.
Attach a plate to the friction bolt, ensuring the dome faces the ring and the tapered end points outward.
Install the friction bolts so they are perpendicular to the rock's surface for maximum stability.
Insert the driver dolly into the bolt and drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate securely contacts the rock surface.
Avoid striking the friction bolt once the plate is tightly attached to prevent damage to the bolt's end.
Conduct pull tests after installation to assess the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
