Friction-Lok Stabilizer
- -Friction-Lok Stabilizer, made from a strip of high-tensile steel, is roll-formed into a C-shape featuring a longitudinal slot for engagement. Designed with one end tapered to simplify insertion into a drill hole, the opposite end is securely welded to a ring that anchors the bearing plate.
- -Thermal diffusion galvanizing is available for the friction bolt.
- -Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.
- -Friction-Lok Stabilizer undergoes very stringent tensile testing to ensure product quality.
Friction-Lok Stabilizer Functions
Split Set is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radial forces on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

How to work
Begin by thoroughly evaluating the ground's condition.
Select an appropriate drill bit and create a hole that aligns with the diameter and length of the bolt, according to the drilling instructions.
Ensure the hole is at least 150mm longer than the friction bolt.
Attach a plate onto the friction bolt, ensuring the dome is against the ring and the tapered end faces outward.
Ensure that the friction bolts are installed perpendicular to the rock's surface for optimal stability.
Insert the driver dolly into the bolt and proceed to drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate securely contacts the rock surface.
Refrain from hammering the friction bolt once the plate is tightly fixed to the rock surface to avoid damaging the end of the bolt.
After installation, conduct pull tests to assess the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
